We arrived in Yuma Arizona on 4 December 2025 and will stay at one RV resort for 2 months. We’ll either extend one more month here or stay at another resort, but we do plan to spend a total of 3 months in Yuma before heading to Livingston Texas for our annual doctor appointments the last week in March. The resort where we’re staying has lots of amenities and the people are very nice. With temps in the high 70’s, we’re happy to be “settled” in this place. We’ll be going on hikes with the resort’s hiking group and we’ve cleaned up our bicycles to do some riding while we’re here. Of course, we've played pickleball a couple of times and hope to play as much as we can while we're here. They play every morning.

Anita had been dealing with right shoulder pain that feels like the left shoulder did when it was a torn rotator cuff, but it may just be tendonitis (arthritis). After seeing a doctor here in Yuma and trying the topical gel which is OTC, the pain is almost gone. That's a relief! Steve will need to deal with his knee while we’re in Texas in March. Our hope is to get Anita’s shoulder behind us by the time we get to Texas, so that all energy can be on Steve’s knee replacement if that’s what’s needed.

We've met nice people in the park and we invited one couple (Rick and Jocelyn) to join us for the Yuma Christmas Parade last Saturday night (13 Dec). We all enjoyed the evening, but the parade was a bit long at 3 hours. We will all be going to see the lights in a local neighborhood tonight. This is just a drive through on a couple of streets.

We'll be attending weekly mass at St John Neumann Roman Catholic Church in Yuma while we're here, but we attended mass at Saint Thomas Yuma Indian Mission in Winterhaven CA last Sunday. The California border is less than 10 miles from our campground, and the mission is 9.5 miles. We had seen the church one day when we were out site seeing.
