After 4 nights in Chimacum Washington, we drove 35 miles to Sequim WA on 23 October 2025 for our 10am service appointment on our Grand Design.   The outcome was replacing both back jack stands.  The parts had to be ordered but they were able to get them overnight, so we got the repairs done on Friday the 25th by noon and were on our way to Oregon that afternoon.  We got to Rainier Oregon around 5pm that evening.  The drive was slow going with rain all the way.  We stayed at a county park (Hudson-Parcher) and we pretty much had our pick of any sites, with just a couple of other campers there.  We were pleased with full hook ups and thankful to be in Oregon finally.  After we got settled in we went out to get fuel and groceries.  We got home around 9pm from our errands, so we decided to sleep in on Saturday.  Steve saw that the Oregon Coast was experiencing high winds (45mph with gusts 60-65mph) and there was a travel advisory/warning.  We decided that wouldn’t be prudent or fun so we stayed put and did some cleaning.  With all the rain and going in and out, there’s always something to clean.

The drive along the Oregon Coast looked much better for Sunday, so we planned to drive it then to Coos Bay Oregon.  We attended mass at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rainier at 5pm on Saturday.

We drove just under 200 miles of the Oregon Coast to get to Coos Bay Oregon.  It was an absolutely beautiful drive with seaside town after seaside town.  Coos Bay was a surprise of so many things to see in a small area.  At the time of year we were there, it was after the peak tourist season, so pretty quiet.  We decided we’d like to return for a longer time.

On Tuesday (28 October 2025) we drove to Prospect Oregon to spend a week exploring the Crater Lake area. Our friends from Maryland who now live in Montana drove around 800 miles to camp with us for a week.
